BRIEF
Volunteering at the Sheriff’s Christmas for Kids event for the past 2 years has been a truly rewarding experience. Formerly known as Christmas for the Children of the Incarcerated, this annual event works in partnership with The Potter’s House of Fort Worth and the Tarrant County Sheriff’s Department to bring holiday joy to children whose parents are incarcerated in the Tarrant County jail system.
WHAT WE DID
Serving as an event photographer, we captured meaningful moments for families, helping them commemorate the occasion with holiday portraits.
RESULT
This year’s event welcomed about 500 kids and involved 100 volunteers who helped distribute presents and create a sense of community for families impacted by incarceration.

BRIEF
Free Comic Book Day is a nationwide annual event where comic bookstores across the United States give away free comic books to patrons, fostering community and promoting engagement with comics culture. To drive participation and create organic engagement, the social media team strategically spotlighted cosplayers—fans who dress as their favorite comic characters—to advertise the event and authentically connect with both seasoned fans and newcomers.
WHAT WE DID
Contributed professionally and collaboratively to the social media team by creating engaging content for Free Comic Book Day, appearing in character as Lieutenant Uhura from Star Trek to spotlight cosplayers and amplify event publicity.
RESULT
The imagery from the original Free Comic Book Day campaign, where content featured Lieutenant Uhura from Star Trek proved so impactful and visually compelling that it was successfully repurposed for Small Business Saturday, even though it had been shot months earlier in May.

BRIEF
For Veteran's Day 2017, the Zoology Foundation, a nonprofit animal sanctuary in Larkspur, Colorado, hosted a special event offering service members, veterans, and their families free access to their animal refuge.
This event was designed as a gesture of appreciation and support, allowing veterans and their loved ones to experience the sanctuary's educational and healing environment at no cost.
WHAT WE DID
I captured photos and posted to social media from this event documenting the positive community atmosphere and the Foundation's commitment to honoring veterans.
RESULT
he added publicity from this event encouraged ongoing participation, leading to more events involving families from the Nurturing Center as well as military-affiliated families. These efforts strengthened community ties and expanded outreach, supporting the Foundation's goals of education, appreciation, and healing through human-animal interaction.
