BRIEF
The Outdoor Recreation division of the Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (MWR) program at Fort Carson organizes monthly ski trips specifically designed for military-connected families. To increase engagement and encourage more participation in these popular excursions, the social media team accompanied one of the bus trips to capture firsthand experiences and share compelling content that highlights the adventure and family connection offered by the program. This initiative supports MWR's mission to foster readiness and resilience by providing quality recreational opportunities for military families in the Colorado region.
WHAT WE DID
We executed a targeted social media campaign that culminated in a video capturing the fun and diverse activities experienced by all participants, effectively showcasing the event's engagement and community spirit.
RESULT
The results exceeded expectations: the campaign generated strong engagement, positioned the resort as a trusted partner for military recreation, and ultimately led to an exclusive contract between the resort and the military post, securing ongoing access for patrons. This experience stands out to me because it combined creativity, authentic storytelling, and tangible impact that directly benefited the community
